A six week Contemplative Small Group on Justice, Depression, Light, and Love jointly facilitated by leaders from Christian and Jewish Faith.

The slow march toward the shortest day of the year can be dark and heavy to bear. The seasons of gift giving and holy-day celebrations can only add to the weight. And now, in these politically precarious days its hard to keep our head up, much less light a candle. What might it mean to look this straight in the eye with just enough light and love? What might it mean to hold space for wonder and rest? What might it look like to show justice AND love?

Classes will include guided meditation time, small group discussion, and learning from the wisdom teachers of myriad lineages, including Rumi, Gandhi, A.J. Heschel, Archbishop Tutu, Marian Wright Edelman, Thomas Merton, and James Cone.
