Recently, three historically African-American church buildings were burned in Louisiana. On Easter Sunday, three churches and congregations were bombed in Sri Lanka. Such violence against people of faith is always horrific and wrong.
People of Clifton United Methodist Church (Ayesha and David Casie Chetty) and neighbors in our community, in the health organizations near us, and at the University of Cincinnati have been directly affected. Furthermore, many more have been impacted by the anxiety that such violence creates, are grieved by the losses of lives and sacred space, and are heart-sick by the suffering caused to those injured and those left to pick-up the pieces.
Join others for an interfaith prayer vigil on Tuesday, April 30th from 7-8 pm at the Clifton United Methodist Church led by members of the Sri Lankan community, African-American United Methodists, and interfaith partners. Please share the with others to join the community in prayer.
