Hebrew and Israel

Street Ivrit: Modern Hebrew for Real Life is a crash course in conversational Hebrew. Designed in partnership with Hebrew instructor Amit Morag, a charismatic educator and native Israeli, this class will help students hone their speaking skills. In particular, Street Ivrit is perfect for those traveling to Israel soon (perhaps with your congregation’s mission) or who interact regularly with Israelis, such as religious school teachers.

But wait, there’s more…. Scholarships for educators are available!  Thanks to the interest and generosity of the Jewish Federation’s Phillips Fund, a limited number of full-tuition scholarships are available for Jewish professionals.  Do you have Religious School teachers or other staff members of your congregation who work with Israeli families or who may benefit from a conversational Hebrew Class? If so, we invite you to consider nominating them for a scholarship.

Street Ivrit meets Thursdays 8:30-9:30 am, Mayerson JCC

Cost: JCC members $84.  Public $96

Fall Session 2: October 30th – December 17th, 2017

Course Description: Have you ever wanted to order a cappuccino in an Israeli cafe or ask which way to the Western Wall?  This modern Hebrew class is perfect for those planning a trip to Israel or wanting to carry on a conversation with Hebrew speakers right here in Cincinnati.  Street Ivrit is a fun and interactive  class for beginning Hebrew speakers, taught by experienced educator and native Israeli, Amit Morag.  Students are encouraged to enroll in both Fall Session 1 and Fall Session 2 for a comprehensive introduction to the language.
